Even if you have not purchased a licence yet, you can download the software, install it and run it in evaluation mode. In evaluation mode, there are restrictions to the number of information items that you can record, but you can experiment with all the features of the application so you can decide whether it would be useful to you. If you like Memozine and wish to to use it to its full potential, you can then purchase a licence by visiting our Purchase page.

To download the software, fill in the form below and click on the Download button. An installation package will be downloaded to your browser. Refer to the "Installation instructions" section below for further information about the installation process. Also, please check the "System requirements" section to make sure that Memozine can run on your computer.

The current version of Memozine, which you can download from this page, is now version 1.5. If you have previously downloaded and installed a previous version, we recommend that you upgrade to version 1.5. For further information, see the "Upgrading to version 1.5" section below.

We will use your personal data only in accordance with our privacy and cookies policy.

Installation instructions

When you click on the Download button, your browser will download an installation file called MemozineSetup.exe. By default, the file will be copied to your Downloads folder, which is usually located on the disk drive where Windows is installed (e.g. C:\Users\your name\Downloads). Depending on the browser that you are using, you may be presented with different options such as running the file immediately, saving the file to your Downloads folder, or saving the file to a different location. For more detailed information about how your browser handles file downloads, please refer to its documentation.

You can choose either to run the installation file immediately or to save it to your local disk and subsequently run it from the location where it has been stored. In either case, running the installation file will start the Memozine Setup Wizard. Then just follow the instructions in the Setup Wizard to install Memozine on your computer.

System requirements

Supported operating systems

Hardware requirements

Memozine depends on Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.6.1 (or later version). If your computer runs one of the operating systems listed above and gets automatic Windows updates from Microsoft, a suitable version of the .NET Framework should be already installed. If it is not, it will be installed on your computer as part of the Memozine installation process. Note that, in that case, a working Internet connection will be needed to download the relevant software package from the Microsoft web site. The installation of the .NET Framework requires 2.5 GB of available hard disk space.

The installation of the Memozine application itself requires approximately 35 MB of available disk space, to which must be added the disk space that will be needed for storing the data that you will record using the application.

Upgrading to version 1.5

If you have previously downloaded and installed a previous version of Memozine, you can upgrade to version 1.5 by downloading the up-to-date installation file from this page and running it in the same way as you ran the one for the previous version, making sure that you install the application at the same location on your disk and you use the same Windows credentials. This will remove the previous version and replace it with version 1.5.

If you have purchased a licence for the use of Memozine, your licence key remains valid with version 1.5 and you do not have to re-enter it.

If you have an existing Memozine database that was created with a previous version of Memozine, a minor update of the database structure will be automatically performed the first time you open that database with version 1.5. This should not present any difficulty. However, just in case, it may be wise to back up your existing database before upgrading to version 1.5.

For detailed information about the differences between versions of Memozine, see our Versions page.
